Online events: You don’t have to line a parade route to join the celebration of LGBTQIA+ people during Pride Month. There are plenty of virtual Pride events that allow you to learn, listen, and laugh from wherever you are. Eventbrite have curated a lift of virtual Pride events for you to explore. You can find them here.
If you are looking for some support and a chance to connect with the community
- There is the East Riding of Yorkshire Council’s LGBT forum which can be contacted here: lgbtforum@eastriding.gov.uk.
- Liquid Jade café hold an LGBTQAI+ coffee morning on a Saturday morning once a month at 10:00, the dates for the rest of the year are:
- 1st July, 5th August, 2nd September, 7th October, 4th November and 2nd December
- LGBTQAI+ book club at Hull Central Library 24th June 11-12:30pm
- LGBTQQAI+ Ruby union club – The Roundheads are always looking for new players. – They train Wednesday 8pm at Hull Uni Inglemire Lane (please check their Facebook page for more information)
