ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (1)
TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
Canal Side West, Newport
Notice is hereby given that The East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the
date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along
Canal Side West, Newport during the following period:
Monday 17th May 2021 until Monday 7th June 2021
The road closure is necessary to enable the installation of wooden piles to stabilise the river bank
and the works will be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public.
The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed within 22
days.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via: N/A
The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure. The road will be closed to all traffic but access will be
maintained for emergency vehicles.
