Gilberdyke and Newport Landfill Site and Newport Parish Council Meeting

Prior to the Parish Council meeting on Tuesday 8th March 2022 there will be a Public Meeting at 6.30pm regarding the landfill site. Residents and representatives of Newport and Gilberdyke Parish Councils are invited to provide an appraisal of the traffic movements and the ongoing management of the site.

The meeting will take place at Newport Primary School. Access to the meeting room is through the main gate on the Village Hall side of the school and to the rear of the building. 

The March, Newport Parish Council meeting will commence at 7pm at the same venue – all village residents are welcome.

Public Forum – The Public Forum will commence at 7.00pm. The period designated for public participation shall not exceed 15 minutes. Each member of the public may only speak once and for no longer than 3 minutes. Please see Appendix 1 below for further information.

On 19 January 2022, the Prime Minister confirmed the Plan B measures in place in England will come to an end. That means from 27 January 2022 there will be no requirement to wear face coverings in public indoor spaces. Although face coverings will no longer be mandated, people are still advised to wear them in enclosed or crowded spaces, particularly when meeting strangers.
